RIDPEST

Q3: Can I sign up if my home is infested with termites?

RIDPEST

No, you are NOT eligible. However, you can engage Ridpest to treat your current termite infestation, and after a waiting period of 60 days after the infestation has been eliminated, your home will be eligible for coverage. However, all pre-existing damages caused by the previous termite infestation will not be covered by Timber Shield Protection Plan Insurance.

Q4: Why do I need RidGuard if my home has never been infested with termites?

RIDPEST

As long as your home has wooden structures and fittings, it is a potential target for termites.

RIDPEST

Q5: What is this Pre-Acceptance Termite Inspection?

RIDPEST

To ascertain whether your house is free from termites, Ridpest will carry out a pre-acceptance termite inspection. The inspection or termite health check will be carried out by a professionally-trained Termite Field Inspector. The comprehensive termite health check will cover your whole house, including the roof area and also termite hot spots such as bathroom and toilet doorframes, storeroom, kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, parquet flooring and skirting.

Q6: Why do I need General Pest Control Service?

RIDPEST

Apart from termites, cockroaches, rats and common ants are some of the most common household pests in Malaysia. Regular pest control services are important to maintain a pest-free environment that will promote good health and peace of mind for you and your loved ones. Under the RidGuard package, Ridpest will carry out general pest control service four times a year. Q10: How do I determine the sum insured for my home contents?

RIDPEST

Your home contents should be insured for their full replacement value (i.e., the cost to replace them with a new one, identical to it or with equivalent quality or features). For other stringent items, the sum insured should be an agreed market value at the start of the current period of insurance. We recommend you to re-assess the value of your home contents at least once a year.
